Non – Residential Physical Training Programme for Fish Farmer at KVK Lengpui under National Fish Development Board


Non – Residential Physical Training Programme for Fish Farmer at KVK Lengpui under National Fish Development Board was conducted in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Lengpui, Mamit District on 31st March 2023 at KVK Training Hall with a topic of Integrated Aquaculture. In this Training, 40 numbers of farmers participated from Lengpui surrounding Villages. The Training Programme was chaired by Mr. F.Lalnienga, Chairman, ZOFISFED Ltd., Mizoram.

          Four different sub-topics viz:

  1. Package of practices for Pig-Fish Integrated farming
  2. Package of practices for Poultry-Fish Integrated farming 
  3. Package of practices for Cattle-Fish Integrated farming
  4. Package of practices for Paddy cum Fish culture

were delivered by the resource person.

Dr. OP Singh, Managing Director, ZOFISFED, Mizoram, and Dr. Vanlalhruaia Hnamte, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Mamit District also delivered short speeches encouraging the farmers to take up the Integrated Farming Systemfo uplifting their daily needs through practicing fish farming along with livestock enterprise.

          The Training was concluded with vote of thanks from Mr. Vanrochhuanga, Vice Chairman, ZOFISFED, Ltd., Mizoram.
